One of the biggest problems facing new internet texas holdem poker players is playing too many hands. A simple but effective first step is for new players learn the 19 hand strategy. This simple strategy is to force new player to exercise discipline and learn a tight game. Adoringly discusses these 19 starting hands in their ring texas holdem games strategy.
The 19 starting hands apply to no limit holdem games. They do not apply to tournaments, sit & go or limit games. These strategies are good for new players. Everyone needs a base from which expander gaming repertoire. The 19 starting hands are:
All pocket pairs (ie a total of 13)
AK
AQ
AJ
KQ
QJ
KJ
Here’s how you play them. (BTW, this thread will be filled with a lot of people talking about a lot of things’ great. You can also talk about a lot of things. The fact is that new players need a place to learn and also keep out of trouble. The texture, color, sensation, game flow, etc. are all advanced topics. Be sure to continue). Play the 19 hands in no limit holdem games (NL, No Limit) under $ 200 and at least you’ll be playing cards and even live if you could make Athens the flop more often than the times not.
Here is how you play AA, KK, QQ, JJ and raising AK preflop betting 3-5xBB. If the pot is raised before you have it for you, then again probably bet with AA and KK. If someone matches your bet then pushes AA. KK is a risk, so do whatever you think best. Call the bet with the rest in internet texas holdem games. If you finish in the middle of a cycle bet / accept the bet between players, just get away without AA, or if you think your KK is good enough, push and wait for another player does not show an ace.
AQ, EVEN IF NO ONE HAS DONE HIS BET, then do it now. If someone has already made his bet before you, then simply discard that hand. If, as you read, AQ is a hand that can bet on the flop in a pot before the betting started, but automatically becomes dischargeable in a situation that has already been posted in preflop.
AJ, KQ, QJ, call the flop if you have not yet been made bets. Discard in preflop if they have already made bets. COUPLES POCKET bets preflop raise up 4xBB. Discard the amno for bigger bets. HOWEVER, look at who made the bet (and those who matched) have no money simply discard that hand. You want them to have money, because if you have a good hand in free texas holdem, you want to pay with everything they have. If you have a good hand, then be prepared to discard his hand immediately. If you have a good hand, then play internet texas holdem carefully.
AT automatically discarded, KT equally. People will talk about connectors, position, boats, etc, etc, etc. It does not mean anything without limit games. In that internet texas holdem games generally earn your cards. But if people want to throw off in the middle, at least do it with a good continuation bet after raising your bet on the flop. Anyway, I am fond of learning to play a well rounded texas holdem games. I’ve done that and got lots of money in the ring without limit in the Sit & Go and Multi-Table Tournaments. Want to know how many hands played?
19!
This takes you away from trouble. I will say that I am a teacher playing these 19 hands, in my humble opinion. And also say that poker is much more than the hands that starts. HOWEVER, the biggest problem that many players have (not just beginners, but many in general) is that they have no idea what they should play in free texas holdem preflop, how or why. Specialize in only 19 and at least explore various ways to play internet texas holdem, learn how others react, see how they present their hands etc. After doing that (which should take about a year playing 5 thousand hands a week), then start doing other things.
Anyway, you asked. That’s the answer about 19 No Limit holdem hands. It was I who coined the phrase and created the style of play, so take the first fruits of my own hands.
